For many years HRH The Prince of Wales has at his own request and expense been accompanied by an artist when undertaking official oversees Tours. In 2007 Mungo travelled with His Royal Highness to Uganda and Turkey. In 2008 he was again Tour Artist and sailed with the Royal party on the MY Leander to Trinidad, Tobago, St Lucia, Monserrat and Jamaica.

Following these tours Their Royal Highnesses purchased a number of works from the artist and in subsequent years Mungo has been commissioned by The Prince of Wales to paint pictures of interiors at Highgrove , Birkhall and Dumfries house.
